The Treachery of Democrats and guess what, We Won

You just know the democrats are singing the blues and taking advantage of vast quantities of powerful pharmaceuticals. Quietly, under the cover of darkness, the democratic leadership received a report on Iraq that they themselves had asked for. The news wasn’t good. A year ago the report given to congress by General David Petraeus concluded the Iraqi government had only achieved seven of the eighteen benchmarks set forth by the democratic congress. Last night they received a report that sixteen of the eighteen benchmarks had been achieved, Al Qaeda in Iraq is no longer in Iraq, the Mahdi army has been defeated, Muqtada al sadr, “Mookie” is hiding in Iran and most of the top American and Iraqi military leadership are openly saying this war is over. All that is left is for the fat lady to sing and she’s rapidly warming up, bad news indeed, for the democrats, the party of retreat and defeat.

Perhaps had the leftists left themselves a backdoor, an escape hatch if you will and merely criticized the conduct and the progression of the war instead of declaring it lost and calling for a troop withdrawal with our tail between our legs. But no, the democrats not only became invested in defeat they bought it outright and now hold clear title.

What also struck me, yet surprised me not, was seeing this cross my Associated Press feed late last night and I have yet to see more than two news stories with this content and nothing on the three broadcast networks.

But, it’s a long tine until November and voices louder than mine will pick this up, it will get out and when the American people recognize the treachery and deceit that has been employed by the democrats there will be hell to pay. Remember the words of Senator Harry Reid, “The war is lost”. He said those words while our brave marines were kicking ass and taking names. They never gave up, they never thought they had lost, they never lost their honor. They bucked up and did what their country asked them to do, win. And, by god they did it. For the democrats to disparage their efforts and declare a premature loss they not only sold out our fighting men, they sold out their own country. And, for that they will be damned.
